SEW MaNIA is an educational sewing studio and vintage shop, offering a cozy and relaxed environment and small class sizes, allowing for highly personalized instruction and support in a low stress environment. Class prices are based on the length of class. 40 minutes = $75, 1.5 hours = $150, 2.5 hours = $225. Private lessons start at $250 for 2.5 hours. For all class types, the price per class decreases with the amount of classes booked at a time. EX: 1 private lesson is $250 and 5 private lessons would cost $750

You can book a class through the class schedule here, visit us in store, submit a class request form, or simply call, text or email us. Whatever works best for you.

Materials and equipment are included for all beginner classes on the schedule. If you are taking a custom lesson, then you may need to purchase materials such as fabric or sewing patterns separately. We will let you know exactly what you need and are happy to assist with sourcing when necessary.

Sewing requires attention to small details. We encourage you to bring your contacts or glasses to your lesson.

We try to be as flexible as possible when it comes to scheduling. Please contact us with the class you’d like to take and your availability and we will do our best to accommodate you.

All beginner classes start with learning to thread and operate a sewing machine. Students are taught the necessary skills and terminology to complete their chosen project. EX: In the basic pillow class students will learn proper form, straight stitching, how to turn corners, and more!

We’d love to help you learn exactly what you want to learn. Fill out our class request form with your ideas and we will create a series of lessons that allow you to reach your sewing goals confidently.

Our classes are open to anyone aged 9+. Exceptions for younger students are made on a case by case basis. If your 7-8 year old has already worked with a sewing machine or taken classes elsewhere, let us know!

Additionally, for students aged 9-18 we have a children and teen specific class available on week days during after school hours. The classes are short and with our monthly package students can take on larger projects over multiple lessons.

We are always happy to reschedule if you need to. Just call, text, or email us to let us know and to provide a new date/time that works for you.

Our hours of operation are Thursday- Sunday from 11:30am-6:00pm. We have classes on our schedule every day that we are open.

Students must use the machines provided by SEW MaNIA. However, If you let our instructors know the make and model of your machine they will do their best to advise you on the similarities and differences of your machine and the machine used in lessons.
