Sewing Classes Offered at SEW MaNIA.
All of our beginner-friendly classes are project-based and held in small class sizes, perfect for those looking for step-by-step instruction with extra attention. We separate our classes into series, so you can find the project that works best for you. Bundle options for classes are available as well.

The Ultimate Beginner Series.
The sewing classes in this series are for beginner sewists who want a shorter, more approachable basic sewing class. We are working continuously to create new and exciting beginner-friendly sewing projects. Currently, in 40 minutes or 1.5 hours, you can make the popular Boxy Zipper Pouch, Basic Pillow, or Unlined Vinyl Tote Bag
In this 1.5 hour Ultimate Beginner sewing class students will learn basic machine operation and terminology while making their own vinyl tote bag!
In this 40 minute Ultimate Beginner class students will complete a classic first project, a simple pillow! Skills learned include straight stitching, pivoting, and more!
In our most popular 40 minute Ultimate Beginner sewing class, students will make a small zipper pouch. Skills learned in this class include zipper insertion, and boxed corners!
The Confident Beginner Series.
The sewing classes in this series are for beginner sewists ready to dedicate time to learning a new skill. We are working continuously to create new and exciting beginner friendly sewing projects. Currently, in 2.5 hours, you can make Pajama Pants with pockets, a Large Messenger Bag, or a Reversible Tote Bag.
In this 2.5 hour Confident Beginner sewing class, students will make cozy pajama pants, perfect for the cold months ahead. Skills taught in this class include hemming, curve sewing, insert pockets, and more!
In this 2.5 hour Confident Beginner sewing class, students will make a large and comfortable cross body messenger bag perfect for carrying around all of your every day items. Skills taught in this class include curve seaming, lining, and more!
In this 2.5 hour Confident Beginner sewing class students will make a lined and reversible tote bag. Skills learned include boxed corners, lining, and more!
The Lolita Series.
Skirts, Bloomers, Accessories, oh my! We are continuously developing beginner sewing projects that fit the lolita aesthetic. Current offerings include Skirts, Bloomers, Ruffle Cuffs, and a Ruffle Pillow
Part of our Lolita Series, in this 1.5 hour beginner's sewing class students will make a cute and cozy ruffle heart pillow. Students will learn sewing curves and gathering techniques along with basic sewing terminology and machine operation.
Part of our Lolita Series, in this 2.5 hour beginner sewing class, students will learn basic sewing skills, including hems and gathering techniques, and leave with a finished Lolita style bloomers! Make it completely your own with our selection of fabrics and trims.
Part of our Lolita Series, in this 1.5 hour beginner friendly class, students will make adorable ruffle cuffs to mix and match with their favorite outfits! Choose your own length and learn how to determine how much fabric is needed to match your desired amount of ruffle!
Part of our Lolita Series, in this 2.5-hour beginner sewing class, students will learn basic sewing skills, including hems and gathering, and leave with a finished Lolita style two tiered skirt! Make it completely your own with our selection of fabrics and trims.
