  • Learn how to mend your own clothing in this hands-on sewing class in Brooklyn! In just 1.5 hours, you will learn basic sewing machine operation and the basic skills needed to hem, attach buttons, and more! Students will come to class with one or two clothing items in need of repair and will leave with a sense of accomplishment and having learned a sustainable life skill.

    This sewing workshop is beginner-friendly, so no experience is required! Experienced instructors have designed this class with beginner sewists in mind, and with a limited class size, everyone receives quality attention and assistance.

    During the class, you will learn and implement essential basic sewing and mending skills like straight stitching, seam reinforcement, hemming, and more. Perfect for those looking for sewing classes for beginners or those with a little more experience seeking to refresh their skills. You'll leave having given new life to the pieces you already love.

  • This class is approximately 1.5 hours long. If the project is unfinished at the end of the session we will schedule a time for you to come back, no charge!
